The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you are looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.
Roomba s9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is integrated into the base of charging. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is set up, you can start automated cleaning with a single button click. You can opt for an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough maps of your home to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum performs well on both bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush however iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on more expensive models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only drawback is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. But that's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.
As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch television without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move away if it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is not right, such as a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to a full bin.
You can also create or merge rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's some items that need to be removed regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, and a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.
Finally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to use it even if you're not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.
The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads rotating to website scrub away tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of features that you do not often find on robots in this price. It can create detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are great but they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner need.
It is designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will shut it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu located in the middle of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. This produces a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop effectively and avoid getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
